also amazing is lisa left eye lopez and the song Supernova, watch her mtv diaries which actually show her crash it is so insightful and deep.

I totally agree with everything youve said as well SHSH!her music was so before its time that its truly is difficult to believe its been so long she was unqiue also in the way that i havent heard a bad word from critics and musical tastemakers (such as gilles peterson and mark ronson who thought she was amazing). My favs were hot like fire (remix) one in a million (seminal track!) and try again...

I still remember the day she died. I was watching the news at night and when I heard it I was so shocked and sad.. then I called my best friend at the time and told her and she couldn't believe it. Tragedy.

My favourite song by her is Miss You. I love the video too.

Did you guys know she was secretly married to R. Kelly when she was only 15?! I find it so hard to believe (well, not him really -- he comes off as a pervy skeev).

Anyway, RIP Aaliyah. The world still misses you.
