BRITNEY SPEARS GEARS UP FOR "TILL THE WORLD ENDS" VIDEO SHOOT
AND PERFORMANCES FOR "FEMME FATALE" LAUNCH ON MARCH 29TH
New York, NY -- Britney Spears is gearing up for a week of appearances and surprise performances to promote the release of her seventh studio album, Femme Fatale.
First off is a special performance on ABC's Good Morning America from San Francisco's historic Castro district. This is the first time the show has filmed a concert from the location, and due to the time difference and logistics Britney will pre-tape the performance on Sunday, March 27th and the concert will air on GMA on March 29th. She is scheduled to make several appearances on The Ellen DeGeneres Show week of release and MTV is celebrating Femme Fatale with a Britney take-over day on March 29th. Britney is confirmed to participate on Nickelodeon's Kid's Choice Awards on April 2nd.
In between rehearsals, Britney is shooting the video for her newest song, "Till The World Ends" in Los Angeles. Ray Kay has been tapped to direct the video.
Britney is currently featured on the covers of V magazine and Out magazine's first ever "Ladies We Love" issue.
(just found the video of her singing you oughta know in chicago.)

Britney Spears will release her seventh studio album Femme Fatale on March 29th. It's her most thrilling and inventive record yet, a set of songs that just as danceable as they are unusual and forward-thinking. Rolling Stone caught with Spears to discuss how she goes about selecting songs and collaborators for her albums, her interest seeking out new artists and cutting-edge sounds and what it's like to work with will.i.am and Dr. Luke.
Do your kids like the new record? What have they said about it?
Yes. They definitely dance to it but its kind of funny because they are still confused .... Itís like, Ďwho is this Britney Spears singer in contrast to mommy?í
How has your involvement in the record-making process changed over the years?
I have always been heavily involved in every album I have ever made. I'm very stubborn when it comes to recording and will only record songs I love, which is why it takes me a long time to make an album. I have to feel connected before I record and the song has to spark something inside me. Very few songs do that. I guess it's a good process because I love all of my music. I know there are a lot of artists that hate songs they recorded. I donít feel that way.
Has anyone heard the bonus tracks?
I only liked He About to Lose Me. I like the rythm of the song, I've always loved Brit doing ballads.
But the other ones are not very interesting. So I'm glad they are bonus.
Really? I'm actually really loving Selfish. Not sure if I'd replace any of the 12 songs already on the CD with it, but I wouldn't mind it being the third song on it at all.
He About To Lose Me is great too. I don't know why people hate her ballads, even though she doesn't have the greatest voice, they somehow make her ballads sound decent enough. But that's probably why they left it out, because everyone's always hating.
Up 'N Down gets great at the 2:20 mark when she starts that mellow/melodic break but otherwise the song is way too repetitive for me.
I put the album away for a few days and just listening to it again right now. It's just so amazingly good. It's crazy to say this about Britney's music but you discover new things about each track that you love and you haven't noticed on the previous listens. I soooo hope it's successful for her because she really deserves it.
