On winding down after work: “When I’m shooting The Voice, it’s intense. On a day like today, my ex has my son and we are not shooting, so I slept and I just slept. I love doing everything in my bed. Eating, sleeping. It’s my domain and my throne …I do it all in my bed.”

On getting married and divorced: “Was I too young? Not at all. I did the exact right thing at the time. I definitely wasn’t too young. I have always been older than my age.”

On criticism she’s not Latina enough: “I’ve dealt with that my whole life. I don’t speak the language fluently. And I’m split right down the middle, half Irish and half Ecuadorean. I should not have to prove my ethnicity to anyone. I know who I am.”

On gossip and bad reviews: “I don’t read them. Ever. Why read what people are saying – good or bad?”

Christina literally disappeared for 2 months. But with the live shows starting this Monday, she's been everywhere this past week. I'm so glad she's finally resurfaced again! I missed her.

Christina films new music video:

Curvy and proud Christina Aguilera put her shape on show in a tiny black dress while filming her new music video in LA last week.

The shapely 5'1" star, whose weight has fluctuated over the years, looked a picture of confidence as she strutted around in a thigh-skimming, figure-hugging number.

The 31-year-old mother-of-one was sporting freshly dip-dyed pink locks and matching heels to film the clip for her upcoming single, Your Body.

She was wielding a baseball bat outside a convenience store and at one point piled into a pink pick-up truck.

She was exited ahead of the shoot, telling her Twitter followers: 'Its finally here- MUSIC VIDEO shoot day!!!!!!!!! Get ready guys!!!!!!!!!'

Her new comeback song was leaked onto the internet last week, but is believed to be a demo and slower than the final version of the song.

The track is an mid-tempo R&B dance song which sees Christina sing 'All I wanna do is f**k your body' in the chorus.

The new track is a preview of Christina's seventh album, which will be released this autumn.

The as-yet-untitled record will follow up to 2010's Bionic, which was a commercial flop, although Christina's profile was recently boosted when she appeared on Maroon 5's huge Moves Like Jagger single.

She is also a mentor on the US version of The Voice and contributed a number of songs to the soundtrack to film 'Burlesque' - which she also starred in.
