I couldn't agree more with this !! Glad to know there are others that appreciate nice wrapping and handmade cards .

I think the paper shop and the art store is a great treasure chest. You'll find all sorts of gems inside . It's so easy to get lost in there and I always spend hours and hours picking out paper, seeing what materials would compliment each other, etc. You know, I could go on all day about this .

Well, the only pic on the comp I've got is of the card I made for fbm. I don't think he's seen it yet so, I'll only post it with his permission :p.

I went to Target and found Ayomi giftwrap and boxes! Makes it easy for people who want cute stuff, but don't feel they can make it on their own.

I went to the Dick Blick Art Store too and now I'm all excited to make things! Got tons of beautiful Aitoh Origami Paper and I'm painting someone a jewelry box so gold paint.

Those boxes are cute .

With fbm's permission, the card I made for him:

I'd show the others I've made but that's the only one on the comp at the moment (and taking new photos is a bit of an effort right now).

Thanks to Dior Couture1245, I cut out some magazines and used it to make things. I made a puzzle gift box out of some Neiman Marcus ads. I'll just add a silk or lace bow on top when it's time to use it for a gift. My desk is starting to pile on with crafts

Very cute stuff, Sephora!
I totally agree, wrapping, cards, etc is as important as the gift itself.
I made my own invitations for my 21st earlier this year? Does that count?
Will post some pics up if it does... :p

^^Those look great! Especially the first, graffiti one.....I love making them, they're not hard to make, and look so amazing! They really personalize a gift. What's also great, for your fashion loving friends, is to use their favorite designer's ads for the envelope. A couple of my friends love Marc Jacobs, so I make them Marc envelopes! They love them!

Here are some of my favorite envelopes that I've done.....i've done A LOT, but these, I think, are the best.....don't ask me why the scanner made them fuzzy...(these are the front of the envelopes, obviously)

^ LOVE them! Like the dolce and the chanel one especially. I'm about to write to my bestguy friend in nyc. I'm going to use probably the YSL ads with the Eiffel in the background...he loves those.

i'm just a fan of all this. i save interesting paper and strings, ribbons, laces and love to wrap presents and draw on them. i seem to work out little themes during xmas. last year i had some very thick gold cord with wire inside that i could sculpt into quirky flowing shapes off the side of presents. and i make my own cards. but they are often quite goofy.

So I got bored and had some left over paper so I made a triangle gift box out of 3 thick origami printed paper and 3 plain origami paper for a bottom.

I wish my camera didn't break. My cellphone cant capture the pretty texture of the paper.
Sephora!! what talent, gal! how did you manage to interfold the paper this way? wow..you are so very talented!!
