Well, I finally finished the bag & cushion. The bag started life as a cushion (pic from classixshop.com) When I first saw it in the window, I thought it WAS a bag, so bought it anyway to customise.
I cut along the top & removed the stuffing. Then I made a lining pattern by drawing round the front/back shape and measured for the sides.
I made the lining from white velvet and put in two pockets, one with velcro for my keys and a smaller one for bits & pieces. After lining, I put in the zip.
I put 'D' rings on the sides, held on by strips of black velvet and used the strap from an old bag. That's the bag part done.
From the front/back pattern, I made it more in the shape of a cats face. I also used the side pattern & in fleece fabric made a cushion for my cat. I used the original stuffing & edged in pink satin binding. That's the cushion part, so nothing wasted!

Some pretty cool selfmade stuff in this thread!

I found an old pair of customised Miss Sixty jeans in the back of my closet today. I cropped them and my brother who's an artist drew a Punisher logo and one of his own designs on them and I only just realized that they look pretty cool. He used whiteout to draw on the jeans, but I seriously doubt I could ever wash them without ruining them, which is too bad. But I definitely need to customise some more jeans of mine, they're all too plain and boring.
Picture's my own (and very blurry )

I suppose this belongs in here.....I want to draw this image on to a plain white tshirt/vest, could someone recommend some good thin fabric pens for the job? They need to be available in the UK as well. Thanks!

I have used some which I bought in John Lewis. There's a decent selection there.

^ Thanks, I only just read your post but coincidentally I went and bought a pilot marker from John Lewis yesterday! This is how it turned out (sorry for the rubbish phone photo - it looks a bit better IRL)
