I beaded a dress shirt collar with nuts, washers, and Philippine 5-centavo coins.

2) Fit cuffs over a pair of black heeled sandals (looks great with wedges or flats too). The shorter part should go over the top of your foot, the longer part in the back almost folded under the heel.
3) Play with positioning of cuff by rolling/folding fabric forward as needed

I this idea. Very Gaga-inspired. And I think it's very practical. I will be doing this. Probably will hit up the dollar store for some plain shades, dig around for some 1$ lace and voila!

i want to DIY a knockoff of tom binns cuff that has the lyrics to the smiths' "how soon is now" on it. (pic from netaporter - the bracelet costs about 400$)

there are a couple companies online that will do laser engraving on a custom level (i figure it will cost about 100$ for all those words to be engraved)

now the trick is tracking down a suitable silver (or other material) bracelet that is wide enough. im wary of buying on ebay as the jewelry may have lead in it or may be made out a different material than advertised.

does anyone have any advice for me?
