Meg, where in Canada are you? I'm in Montreal and I can direct you to a few stores here that sell Swarovski.

ehh I found them in my city. There are an odd number of bead shops here. Must be a lot of bead crazy people in SK. oh well. Anyway, thanks all for your help

I talked to my dad and he's going to show me how to sauder tomorrow and we're going to practice! Yay!!

I have a question about saudering though. Do those of you who sauder get concerned about the amount of lead you use? I have an insanely high fear of lead poisoning so wearing jewelry that has been saudered together...is it possible to get lead poisoning from that?

I love this thread. Beautiful ocean (need that mother of pearl ring), soft, breathe.

I had a personal jewellery-making festival in the summer when I was stuck in the back of beyond, (near your cottage soft :p ) and I was sending envelopes of beaded things to anyone I knew.

Hello this is my first post here....

For any of you in London, V V Rouleaux (www.vvrouleaux.com) is a great place, almost every magazine features flowers, ribbons, feathers etc. in editorials from that fantastic (but expensive) emporium for trimmings.

Also, the bead shop in Beak Street Hanna mentioned also has a website and they do online ordering - www.creativebeadcraft.co.uk (not all of the pics display but if you know what you're looking for it's a good way of ordering) They do beads in all shapes and sizes and the most beautiful Swarovski crystals.

I like to buy vintage pieces from thrift stores, chop them up, play around, add strange things - the bigger the better if you ask me!

Thanks SoftGrey, it's nice to be here!

Meg, I just realised you might mean "solder" instead of "sauder". I have never heard of jewelry being "saudered" unless it's a technical term I'm not familiar with.

Perhaps someone might be able to answer your question now

I haven't checked on this thread for some time Realy beautiful designs here!
softgrey: that is so pretty! Very clever and pretty goes very well with the pearl necklaces!

oceanharlot: Wow these are good! Could be right from the fashion store! The pearl necklace is especially good! I've been on my way to make simular earings, I just want to change the look, I just need a few things first The charm necklace is quite funny And if I'd see those rings for sale somewhere I would buy them! the second and third one are my fav

PINKMINX: Omg! so glittery Very pretty.

breathe0xygen: ooooo lovely! Like the blue pearls

Here are a few of my jewelry, hairpins and a necklace, I'm going to change the necklace idea, use chains instead and put in the pearls randomly. I've made tons of others but can't find pictures, have to look fom them.

I'm adding an earing I made

It has one grey/black pearl and a few black glass pearls and a lovebird feather I glued the feather inside the pearls.

yeah I think I spelled it wrong, soldered is probably the correct spelling. I just want to know if working with the lead and wearing lead jewelry will cause any health problems? I'm paranoid about it.
