I made this dress from a $2 garage-sale curtain.

I dont know where to post this, but I'm dying to have a leather 50s style skirt made, ala louis vuitton this fall, do I just go look for leather fabric and go to a tailor? or would a tailor get the fabric?

I took a series of classes at my university. The classes were hiding in the drama department. I'm not a drama major so I had to get special permission. To be honest, it was probably a bit more intense than I needed but now I'm glad I survived!

At the same time I was taking my classes, one of my friends bought an old sewing machine at a garage sale and taught herself. She bought simple "learn to sew" patterns for things like pillows and skirts. She used YouTube clips to help her with the tough parts.

Most fabric stores have classes too. Have fun!

YOU will not belive! Its simple egyptian cotton .

Some years ago I have bought the bed-clothes complete set but
two pillowcases haven't approached on the size, it was a pity to throw out.
One day a muse visited me and i created crazy shirt .

oh nice! the print maybe makes it look very dressed up

i also found some spare fabric a few days ago, might have even been for a curtain lol... and thinking of making a dress out of it (for mother).. it's very thin, slippery and even heavy --i haven't used it before so i am not sure yet how to work with it moreover,my mother's figure is also a tad complex

This is a dress I'm working on right now. Although it's only the "practice dress" (made out of muslin, haven't used the real thing yet), I think it looks pretty acceptable. Hope you guys like.
i adore this! <3
