Thank you so much!!! I am so excited! I never ever expected to win, as the other contestants actually had great outfits that I'd wear myself

Anyway, as I am a painting student I thought of the following theme:
Choose an art work (from paintings to sculpture to conceptual art and installations, you can choose whatever you like most) and try to translate that into a garment. It about what YOU think the work of art "says".
If possible, also post the art work that inspired you.
I can't wait to see what you all come up with and what kind of paintings you like!
Good luck and don't forget to have fun. Be over the top, don't think about it too much, just do whatever you like and let yourself go, creatively!

hey last night I had a great idea (well..imo^^)
how about theFashionSpot's Next Topmodel

you guys would have to decide how your model looks like it, so you would draw some polaroids and each week me, the judge haha, will post a picture from an editorial or whatever and you have to make a similar drawing with your model, I know it's hard to draw the same person in every photo but I wouldn't be mad if you don't get your model 100% in every photo, and then someone will be dismissed after every week.
you could also give your models names and and and..would that be fun maybe?

Aww. Typical, now that I'm finally back online it seems this thread is well and truly dead. Is there anyone out there still interested in this topic? If they have the time, that is... because I am.

If not, can someone point me to another Illustration thread that will give me some motivation to practice outside of my personal limitations of inspirations and just generally make me draw while letting me receive comments and criticism.

Hopefully this thread fires up again as well...
