US Good Housekeeping April 1954 : Featuring Dovima by Richard Avedon

I don't know if you guys are fans of Dovima, but she was a famous model in the 1950's and Richard Avedon's muse. Well, looking through my grandmother's magazines I found a spread that ft. Dovima. I think it's pretty rare since you usually see her all glammed up, not looking like a housewife! So I thought I'd share.

I'll also post some pretty ads and some other fashion pages.

Model: Dovima
Photographer: Richard Avedon

April, 1954 Good Housekeeping

Wonderful shots, I wish I had more with Dovima, I'm not even sure I can identify her properly...she looks like Barbara la Marr there

Thanks a lot for this post, it'll be very helpful for me.. so are all the pictures by Avedon? don't you (or your grandmother ) have some more Harper's Bazaar from that period with more Avedon's pics to scan?? I really need some more of his work from 1947 to 1960... thanks in advance!
