My grandma handed over a stack of Vintage issues of Vogue, mostly from the 70s, and I just had to post a few of the editorials I found in this particular one... mostly illustrations. I'm sorry about the glare by the way, I don't have a scanner, so I was just using my digital camera.
fourboltmain digs this. I love old magazines, so full of illustrations. There's a book at school I'll get, it Vogue covers from until 1930. Awesome work.
Thanks for the look Cosette - I'm quite addicted to old Vogues myself - it started a few years ago and now I have far too many of them . I also love the way they used illustrations. Also, the editors at Vogue were much less pretentious at that time, I think. Sometimes there are quite hilarious drawings of their takes on the trends in the mag - quite relaxed, amusing, charming and with that blissful lack of pretention.
yes thank you very much cosette...
so wonderful......
i hope you will post more...
and much as i am amused by the illustrations...
i'd love to see some photos ...
i love seeing the accessories and the hair and make up...
especially the SHOES!!!...
they also used so many scarves and great hosiery and jwlry in the 70's...
