Sigh! I miss editorials like this - a talented team of fashion professionals delivering a strong statement that evokes emotion in the observer. Kim Williams & Lenita Oderfaldt
are fantastic models. I like Steven Meisel's earlier work it is very striking.
Thanks for the great scans JAG - looking forward to the rest of this issue.

Thank you, Kelly! You nailed it with you comment. And I miss Meisel's work from this period. It just looked more spontaneous and free flowing. I still respect his work, but it's just so planned out and calculated looking, the free spiritless of it is gone.

Both the eds are amazing! Sometimes I think the 80s were better than the 90s!

So true! So true - joie de vivre is what is missing from fashion today. It is all too generic.

I think 80s vogue under Grace Mirabella are a gem. But 87 - 95 where golden years for me - the good old days - post teen years but pre responsibilities overload!!!!LOL

For me it's '85-'95, '95- fashion is kinda boring. Especially the late 90s Roversi stuff. I know many people worship the late 90s but I think the mid/late 80s and early 90s were the best.

I'm surprised our vintage team on here consists of a few people only, are there no other people who like the 80s/90s fashion?

just us and Lili!

I love the early thru late 70's, too! Avedon, Scavullo, Newton, Turbeville, King...goes on and on.
