Vintage model ID thread

It can be hard to find the names of the models that appear in old magazines. Lets give each other a helping hand

First off, who is this tulip-endowed model in this 1965 Irving Penn editorial (American Vogue, scanned by me)?

That rings a bell - was she mostly a model or actress or socialite?

iluvjeisa, who is the model in your avatar? I have the full version of the ad, and always wondered who the model is.

One of the nicest Penn portraits I've seen.

Does this face look familiar?

I only know her as a model. She is in quite a few of my old Vogue's, mostly by Penn or Avedon, I believe.

I have been thinking about it, but I can't nail it down. She reminds me of a model who is the the December 1978 issue of British Vogue (the one that has Kim Alexis sticking her tongue out on it) - in that mag she's holding a crystal ball.

The simple answer is - I don't know

I'm glad I noticed this thread because it's reminded me I want to break out my scanner and scan some more of my old magazines.

Actress Monica Vitti.

Benedetta's father was a well-known journalist here in Italy.

I don't know the names of the models in pictures. But I think http://groups.msn.com/MiniMadMods60s is a great site to find out names of vintage models.
