Vintage Runway Coverage

Since we're all in love with and are in awe of vintage fashion editorials I thought it'd be cool to have a Runway counterpart, a place to reminisce and post fashion from decades past the way the designers themselves envisioned their own creations, on the Runway or backstage along with the multitude of fashion trends (and models!) of the day, all under one roof. Also a place to see/id lesser known models who for one reason or another may not receive as much editorial exposure but still rocked the runway.

I'll start!

VOGUE's VIEW: Remodeling Mod

Bullseye! I was really nuts about the Mod Revival of the mid 90s and the whole influence of 60s mod culture and music that came with it. I was the only rocking the tweed jacket, cobalt blue turtleneck, black boots & kohl rimmed eyes a la Anna Sui in high school. Here, I love the clever incorporation of the mod roundel into the layout which intermingles with the mod runway/archival images. Echoes of Mod fashion can be seen in the skinhead/straight edge/emo fashion of the 80,90s and 00s.
