Yes BerlinRocks it was the first time the Japanese designers were shown in US Vogue & in early 1984 there was a big feature on Comme des Garçons in US Vogue & I'm trying to find that issue

While those photos might be tacky, it's not really accurate to judge all the photos produced during the decade as "tacky." Just as today, a range of photographic styles are represented. *Some* of the ones from the 80s just seem kind of outdated today.

These pictures are from UK Vogue. But I have to admit I don't remember the photographer, because I have only the pages not the whole magazine. I wanted to post them anyway. The models are Laetitia Firmin-Didot and Talisa Sotto. The year is 1986.

I am sorry but I couldnt post any pictures. The Fashion Spot is unable to downsize the pictures.
