it's so funny to realize that even back then in 70s Paris Vogue had such a distinctive aesthetic which doesn't look that out-dated (compared to, say, much younger, Versace ads campaigns from the 90s)
That seems to be how it works - fashion is a bit circular. The decade before us looks very outdated, but the ones before that do not. The aesthetic of VP is really interesting...the editorial team must have changed very drastically around 88/89 or so, around when American Vogue changed EIC.
