Where were you in Turkey? I lived in Istanbul and it was so cloudy all the time, but when I went down south for a just weekend my hair lightened up a lot!

unfortunately unlike you, my pale *** did not get any tan

I got a bottle of Clairol Shimmerlights to add to my arsenal. I love it! My hair looks so beige now.

Argh. I just want my hair to grow, quickly. I've been chugging fish oil pills and deep conditioning the heck out of it for what feels like too long now (about a year since the fateful pixie cut).
Anyone got any tips? I'll try it.

How do you think this sort of reddish kind of blondish can be achieved??

@bernice i think that's technically more of just a dark honey blonde than reddish per se -- keep in mind too that blonde tends to get brassy with time so going a little ashier than you want at first isn't always a bad thing

i would just show the photos to your stylist, but if you want to do it yourself and your hair is a colour close enough to that for it to not be complicated -- i'd go for a dye with words like 'golden' or 'honey' or 'caramel' in the description, probably around a level 6 or 7. i use clairol creme permanente a lot to dye my own hair and it looks like the 6G or 7G ("dark golden blonde") shade is pretty close. you could also try a demipermanent/glaze to get that gold-ish sheen, which sometimes even works a little bit to brighten up slightly darker hair.

Petty personal complaint time! The worst part about hurricane irene here in NYC: my hair appt to go blonde on sunday was cancelled! aaah! #firstworldproblems

That hurricane was the most boring thing ever! I'm booked for a trim/lowlight in a month, hopefully no weather gets in the way.

i just got my highlights done and it's in that phase where they're still too obvious. i'm gonna try to wash my hair as much as possible so they'd blend in.
do you think a toner would do the job??
