This was huge a couple seasons ago, but I still LOVE IT.

i like it's as a trend but on those tree pictures it is too much. First is so obvious, second is not best done , third is the best out of tree but still - to much. But well done it could be sweet, and nice change of two tone hair.

I'd love to do this but my hair is very layered at the moment. I currently have all of the bottom layer of my hair colored, but the effect is very different because it blends in with the top layer and looks much softer than this. I'd prefer this more extreme version, though
I think it looks surprisingly good in the pic with the yellow tips. Pink always works, too.

I had black tips in high school. It was fun, and tipping it with colors is somehow easier to DIY than Ombre highlights

^That looks great! And it looks very subtle because it matches her clothes. So i'm definitely getting my hair cut today and since streaks look crappy with shorter hair I'll do color tips now, I think Probably peacock blue/green to go with my black-brown hair.

So I did get my hair cut today and was all ready to do this when I got home but then I totally didn't know where to start and how to do it I don't think I can do this myself, hahaha.

Can you braid your hair or pigtail it? The easiest thing to do is to just put your hair in pigtails, slide the hair ties down to where you want the dye to come up to, and then slather the color on your ends. Fairly simple.

^^^^^ I saw her after a Topshop -sponsored show at London Fashion Week! She is in the fashion industry, possibly a journalist, and she was talking to the Sartorialist there but he did not take a picture of her that time. Funny that he's acting as if he just spotted her on the street . This is what she wore when I saw her, again working the color into her outfit (I have wanted to dye the bottom half of my hair purple for months now and was so enamoured when I saw her take on it that I had to sneak a pic )

Some other street style photographer was taking a picture of her here. You can spot Sartorialist on the far right.

#4's pink is not half bad, but it probably works well because it contrasts with the blond better than brown might.

That does sound simple. But I guess I'm scared it'll end up looking like I'm doing colorblock in my hair. I want it to be very uneven and have a bit of transition between the base color and the color tips, like in the pic with the yellow. But I'll try it soon (just dyed my hair black and will wait for it to fade a bit before I bleach it again )
