i've just dyed my hair today a lovely aurbun colour which is described on the pack as warmed terrocota (sp?)

i love it because it boots botanics brand and leaves my hair super soft and lovely

i usually use the semi-perminant one but have gone for the perminant this time

both types actually only cost £3.99 so i think its a super bargin

I use L'oreal's Color Pulse. I can't go permanent, I just can't do it... so I do the temporary. It's about $6, so not too bad for a non-committment hair color.

Same! What if it all went wrong?!

I don't trust myself - I know I'd manage to muck it up somehow

i love this product, I highly recommend it. Last time I went to get my hair chopped off, the lady didnt even know I dyed my hair at home. Either I am really good, or she is really dumb!

Erin, I too am loving the color pulse! I love the mousse action and it's so easy! The only thing is that I used it about a month and half ago and I still am seeing red tones in my light brown hair- but I think it looks cool, so I'm okay with it! I used to get my hair colored every couple months and it would run me about 250-300 w/tip but about a year ago, I decided to go back to my nat. color (which I'm now bored of and will soon be making an appointment!)

be careful! today I went from light light blonde to "champagne fizz" by garnier nutrisse (slightly darker blond) and it looks so awful I am really upset. I usually use the cornsilk extra light blonde by revlon I think it is. I love that

I've always gotten my hair dyed at a salon but I want to try dying it at home..since I need no drastic changes, just want to turn from my slightly warm toned browned into an ashy toned brown. Anybody tried Garnier's Lumia? Or anything along those lines?

Yeah I ended up buying L'Oreal Excellence Creme and it worked fine, no damaged, dry or green hair at least.

feria is good for really bright, stand-out color. ive always wanted to try the one with the highlight color included...like there is the base color and then an extra bleaching set for doing highlights...has anyone tried it?

My hair stylist told me that Feria is too harsh for the hair, since then I stopped using them.

I usually use Garnier Nutrisse. I've tried Herbal Essence and did not like it at all; everytime I washed my hair, the color would run and within 2 weeks or so, my hair was back to the original color I started with...but thats just me. My coworker loves it tho. (?)

sally beauty supply has a pretty nice range of ash tones - the last time i was there they had everything from light/dark ash brown, to dark grey, to silver. do you have a sally beauty type store near you?
