Yes that is a lovely pic of Pania

You know, I dont think Irina's face is all that wide... when you see the odd pic of her with her hair pulled back, she has a fairly standard well-cut oval shape.
I agree that eye shape is a big factor in pulling this look off.
I had bangs when I was little but never as an adult, and, like you SiennaInLondon, I am scared shitless of doing it. :p

I am just thinking Fiancee, that if it goes badly, you can always convert it into a side fringe. That is a lot less painful that growing all your hair out.

Maybe it is just that I have a narrow face that I hanker after wideish ones and why Irina's seems wide.

Fiancee/ Sienna in London:
Do it, cut your hair, big fringe is so now.
I have been persisting with a side swept long fringe for months now, and reading/seeing your ideas has inspired a trip to the hairdresser proto for me to chop it off now!!

I have this hairstyle at the minute too.. Think I'll probably be sticking with it for a while.

I've always adored the style so I gave myself a full fringe about a year ago. I'm not really sure what posessed me seen as though I was absolutely convinced I would look terrible (I had a similar style about 8 years ago, when I was 13, and it was sooo very bad). Since cutting it in I've never had so many compliments!

Anyone wanting to take the plunge but too scared to do so just go for it. It'll probably end up looking fab!

Generally, bangs look good, but when they're like this, particularly the bottom-right picture (a pic from an earlier post):

Hideous.

I really like this look on certain people but it doesn't suite people with a small forehead at all. Mine is small so it wouldn't suite me either..I would love to have such a haircut though..

i had a fringe for a while but it was during a time when i did wear my glasses a lot and so it didn't really work, plus i just don't think my face suited it
