I went onto ebay to find the Sebastian Cellophanes... only to find out the product has been discontinued. Anybody know why? The product has been around since 1972, why end it now? I don't trust the CVS/Wal-mart brands... isn't there another glossing product out there that isn't found at a drugstore?

My local beauty store still has Cellophanes in stock, in the newer packaging so it's not old. Are you sure that the people on eBay aren't just making up the fact that they are dc'ed to drive up the price? They do that ALL the time with makeup.

They've been calling it Colourshines now for the past several years. Its seems they just retired the name Cellophanes. As far as I know, its the same produce. I've used both over the years.

The Sebastian Colourshine sounds really good, but does it change your natural hair colour? My hair is naturally black/dark (but not jet black), and I want to make it glossier without changing the colour. Should I buy the clear one? Or should I try the brown series to "enhance" my colour?

My hair is jet black , and the brown series didn't change/enhance my haircolor at all.I'd recommend getting the clear one

blondes could try igora colour gloss, in 9.5 iceflower, depending on how long you leave it in--5 mins for shine and gloss, longer for intense shine and pigment, i dont think they do clear though..
