I know that I love red hair.
I had for about two years dark red hair but I was still dreaming about lighter shade. I couldnīt resist it and after higlinting half of my hair I finally got it. I got a lot of compliments on my hair colour.

I went to my hairsalon Saturday..it had literally been ages since my last cut.. and I had not given any thought to what I wanted done.. so on a whim I told them to do whatever they wanted..
I'm a strawberryblonde now a la Nicole Kidman.. I'm not in love with it but it's workable.. and since it's a toner it'll go back to my own color eventually..

Oh dear. If it's very dark, there's not much you can do unfortunately. You can try washing it vigourously many times with anti-dandruff or clarifying shampoo. If you're patient, the color will fade to a softer shade in a couple of weeks, but I can understand if you're impatient. Can you go back to your hairdresser and ask them to "lift" your color?

If a hairdresser did it and screwed up, just tell her and get her to fix it. I'm pretty sure that is the policy of most salons.

i love red hair, i was a brunette before and i always felt like somethings missing, didnt feel so comfortable with my hair so i went red on an impulse to do something different and loved it! too bad the color goes away so fast. I dont like to color my hair sooner than every month. Ive tried the pantene line for dyed hair but it leaves my hair all oily and not clean enough. After seeing some reviews ont he web i bought Hasks Stay Red Shampoo, it leaves my hair nice and soft but im not sure if it really is an improvement in color, anyone tried this before? I also bought John Frieda's Conditioner simply because it smells sooo good! but im not sure about color protection either.

cosmeticmall, superdrug

My hair color is currently like this, i love the contrast of it with the blue headband

Christina Hendricks

^ i really like the top part, more red rather than orange.

Red She Said

i didnt find it hard to go a deep brownish red. for a purer red, it might involve a hairdresser... back in the day i had light brown hair with a bit of subtle blonde highlights so i just dyed over it with L'Oreal Feria. with this color i just kind of lucked out it turned out how i wanted. these days i dont think i would bother with box color because i dont feel there is enough control over the outcome.

i was inspired by Lindsay Lohan in her music video "Over"

^ a bit of the blonde highlights showing thru

^ mmm, the lighting makes my hair look darker on the bottom.

red was fun but it is quite high maintenance because it fades super fast.

Pro. I used to do it myself but to get all the red out it needed to be bleached and whatnot so I decided not to risk it myself.
