I've been watching a lot of my old movie DVDs recently and I have been obsessing about hair like this

Photos from: www.classicactresses.com, www.crazy4cinema.com, ccat.sas.upenn.edu

The last monroe picture in particular is what I like -the tight curls. At the moment I have long wavy dark hair but when it gets shorter the curls do not get any tighter. Would these styles require too much maintenance? Curlers in every night?

Cameron looks great, well I guess I am the only one in here who's happy about the short hair. I cut it few months ago and I am not going to let it grow for a few months. Love it with long earrings

Sienna in London, that's a hell of a lot of work. Lovely but you know, is it worth the time? Plus, hard to pull off Marilyn's. Ava is such a beauty

Anyway this is what I am going to get. Of course Shannyn is one of the most beautiful girls in the whole world to me but I generally like the style as well

That's so cool, but I think I'd get tired of the uber long front. And it might look funny at some angles.

I usually like Shannyn Sossamon's short hair cut. I don't like the extensions in the last one.

If you add some highlights it helps the cut look a little better, it gives dimension/depth - as you said afterwards, you took it back, it can look great. But I have to say that most of the times, when a short cut is really stunning, it's on lighter hair. You can just see the pieces and the structure of the cut better when hair is lighter.
When I've had short hair, it always looked better with some color in it. Definitely.

Cameron looks so much better than before (not that she didn´t look über-gorgeous then too), the shade really suits her as well. The cut brings out her features perfectly and makes her look more feminine in my opinion.

^^Yes, exactly. When I look at Cameron's new haircut I want to cut my hair too, but I guess I would never look like her. :p

i really love how funky short hair looks, but when I'm feeling daring, I just tend to use rollers to get a cropped sort of 'do. I like big hair too much to cut it all off.

Wooo the short haired girls stole the show! I really prefer Cameron's cut that Gemma/Daria's super long hair
