I'm getting more into this trend day by day... But I'm not sure how it'd work out for me, as my hair is pretty dark atm (well, kind of a chestnut brown - my natural colour) and I'm a bit hesitant to only dye the ends? Is that even possible? Because I think that the only way to achieve this look (without looking cheap or weird) is by really growing your blonde hair out...

Anyways, I found another pic of two-tone hair - something a little different as this thread seems to consist of grown-out-blondes only, and I always thought that it would look pretty dumb the other way around (light roots and darker ends) but I think in this case it REALLY works! Well, it's not that drastic and noticeable but still

i was discussing this look with a friend of mine, who swears up and down that everyone has just been too cheap to get their roots touched up for the last year and a half, I'm not buying it. I know of one salon in NYC that happens to be able to do this really well, I did it myself one time years ago, and it didn't look that great at all, I know that the tutorial earlier made it look really easy, but that girl had really really long hair.
