When your hair changes color naturally, is it normal?
I'm a Eurasian, and there is freaky things happened and happening to my hair. I had black hair when I was young. When I was 8, it turned to burgundy red. Then when I was 13, it turned to brunette and stayed that color. But it started to change hue every season!!! every 4 or 5 months it will change into either a darker brown, or a redder brown, or a lighter brown. It is subtle and natural but visible and people always ask me why I change my hair color, but I don't. it looks pretty either way but still it's freaky. Then this season, the change is drastic!!! It is starting to change into a light brown with hay-color highlight. I thought it might be because of the sun, but the change doesn't start on top where the sun hits, but starts near my temples and necks which is absolutely hidden from the sunlight. I went to a doctor and he said my hair is very healthy. (I never died it, or heated it on curler or irons, and I hardly use hair products -probably 4 times in my life I did, but very minimum!)

Does this happen to you? And is it normal? Does it mean there is something wrong in your body?

I'm under the impression that change in color is normal. But is it changing at the root, or does the older hair change color too? I don't really know what it means. If older hair is changing colors too, it could be from chemicals in the hair products you're using. But you'd need to be switching products.

I'm also Eurasian and my hair used to be thick, jet black and curly. Today it is wavy and reddish-brown with natural blonde highlights at the front of my hair (they used to be ginger). The highlights tend to fade and return a lot. I think it is normal. My boyfriend is white and his hair changed from blonde to brown as he grew older. Maybe this hair colour changing thing is more common with Eurasians? My eyes also change colour from brown to light brown and green and sometimes a bit grey, too.

My hair is naturally blonde with a slight wave, but a couple months ago I discovered a single black, curly hair that was the same length as the rest of my hair. I've found a few more since, which leads me to the question: What exactly is going on?!

I expierenced this too. My hair is naturally light brown/ dark blonde but because of experimenting a lot with hair-dye etc. the roots are now a lot lighter and a very light shade of blonde. So... I guess it can be normal, yes.
And of course: your hair will always get a bit lighter during the summer-time.
