I Thierry.

While I'm glad that he is finally being remembered, I'm upset that such a genius had to be forgotten in the first place while others quoted him left and right . And THIS is what should immediately come to mind with regards to a futuristic/space theme...none of the recent collections even come close to having a vision as singular and unforgettable as his.

Anyway, thanks for this thread, and that is an AMAZING leather jacket jennifer!

Hanne thanks so much for this thread and all the photos you posted.
I think he was always ahead of his time with his collections.

Just out of curiosity....

Does anybody know why his line closed? Lack of interest (and, thus, money) from the buying public? Perhaps a personal desire to move on to other ventures? I wonder...

I remember old pictures of semi-celebrities like LadyMissKier (from one-hit wonder supergroup Deee-Lite) in one of his shows, along w/ RuPaul, clad in a red bejeweled body-suit w/ matching knee-high boots and cowboy hat, and, I SWEAR, Ivanka Trump, when she was, like, 12 years old or something..Oh my!

There was a great article about him and his career, and why it ended in the winter edition of Ten magazine. I can try and type ait up if anyone wants me to. It's why I looked him up
