I am amazed Mugler ever did anything as sedate as this.

Yah, I didn't know there was a Mugler thread. I love his creations so much. I'm glad he might be coming back a bit.
I first saw his work in '98, or '99, when I was still a kiddy. There was a television special, hosted I believe by Andre Leon Talley and Isabella Roselleni, in which they focused mostly on the big houses of paris. But right at the end, they showed a bit of Mugler, and I remember being kind of entranced, not that it was something I wanted to wear, but just that it was interesting, and extreme, and wonderful. I recorded the show off the tv, and I really treasure that tape. All the wonderful collections, it was kind of the beginning of my fashion lusting odyssey.
