On a more memorable note, some of the decade's most important 'fashion-forward' names such as first-lady Jacqueline Kennedy and Ms. Catherine Deneuve were devoted patrons and admiriers of Vivier's works. Vivier even stated that he thought of Ms. Deneuve as his muse, therefore it would only be fitting for her to flaunt his works in many of her roles in film, including Belle de Jour of 1967 (see below). The shoes are labeled 'Designed by Roger Vivier - Paris.'
