Marvellous Matvey was scouted a year ago on the street in St Petersburg. Since then he’s worked locally and in Singapore and Hong Kong, building up his experience as well as his portfolio. With the ability to transform from youthful to intense, Matvey has just signed with Marilyn Paris and D’Men Milan, and is about to test the waters this upcoming show season. How did you get discovered?
It was summer time and I was walking on the street in Moscow. My booker came to me and ask this question, " Are you a model?" Of course, I said no. I am a student study at university. He convinced me to give it a try and I did a few shoots. I thought that was it and have forgotten about it. After a few weeks, my booker called me and told me I need to start working...so that's how I became a model!
What were you doing prior to modeling?
Studying in university, majoring in architecture and design. I also work as a freelancer as a designer of interiors

What's your latest obsession?
Modeling—it's for a short term but I love it...the traveling, meeting people and making friends...nothing can compare to it!

I am my own hero
When is the last time you said, "I Love You" to someone?
To my friends and parents...I don't really need to say it often cause they know I love them all very much!

Moscow, Russia—I will take you to the Art Palace—a lot of young generation of Russian creative types are there. There is also a very cool rooftop bar called Krasnui Octobr, another bar would be Strelka, all great places to check out!
Your wish for the remainder of 2013?
Never loose sense of myself...I will be very sad!
