I keep coming back to this thread to look at those images (finally saved them now ), this is just incredible, I'm in love with every single picture Was that an actual ad campaign or more like an advertorial?

^I agree....absolutely mesmerizing. I've never seen it before - which is slightly unbelievable because 1979 is one of my fave years. Where did you find it?

It looks like an editorial but I believe it was a campaign. I took it from a 70's edition of Italian Vogue. Some times I had to look at the table of contents and try to figure it out but since I can't read italian.....who knows! There were so many times an editorial would start on the same page of an ad and I would get totally confused. Next time I get a vintage issue of Italian Vogue, I'll need to inspect more carefully.

Thanks for the info! I kind of assumed it was from Vogue Italia because it reminds me of the Valentino HC advertorials they do every season in the Haute Couture supplement. Maybe they already had them back then? I have no idea when they started doing them, haha.

Clever girl...that must be it, Pilar!! I noticed them in a lot of the late 70's editions.

I don't think they had the couture supplements at the time, but instead they had an entire issue devoted to couture. Usually a real brick of like 500+ pages
