Hmm Harper's Bazaar UK is doing really well now. Vanessa Coyle (Senior Fashion Editor at Harper's Bazaar UK) is a fellow Aussie so maybe that helped?

If anything I would think Sophia Neophitou Apostolou might have more to do with Gabrielle's move to Bazaar UK. She's brought a lot of new talent with her to the magazine and it's conceivable she would want someone like Gabrielle to style for the magazine.

BTW it only took so long to announce as she replaced Sophia who was director beforehand, I believe Gabriele was under Sophia previously, so that's why they would've only just announced her new position when Sophia left...
