And so Karl Lagerfeld continues on his lifelong quest for world domination. His latest conquest: the Internet.
Karl.com, the “Official Online Boutique by Karl Lagerfeld” is up and running, bringing the Kaiser’s signature sleek apparel, sleeker aphorisms, and predilection for all things black and white to the World Wide Web.
The site was launched earlier this week as part of the promotional push for Lagerfeld’s new masstige line called (what else?) Karl. It features e-commerce, shop-able look books and ad campaigns, and a “World of Karl” section, which includes guides to the designer’s latest projects, his favorite haunts, and the inevitable “Karl Says” quotes, among other components. A place for “Keeping up with Karl”, if you will.
We’re particularly amused by the website’s “Kollections” tab, which brings to mind some other ubiquitous “K”-named tycoons.
Well, you know what they say: if you kant beat’em….
Anderson Cooper weighs in- he is demode, he bores me...he has gray hair and no ponytail! He should stick to counting his Vanderbilt inheritance and leave the Kaiser alone- Humm??
I Anderson Cooper ... he has all my respect for doing what he does rather than being one of the idle rich (of whom there seem to be fewer and fewer, thank goodness). He's expecting Karl to speak/think/feel like a human, he must not be aware of the vampire thing

From Los Angeles to Venice, Karl Lagerfeld is famed for selecting glamorous locations for his annual Croisière presentations, and this season looks set to be no different with the designer reportedly heading to the Château de Versailles near Paris.
Details relating to the star-studded event are still top secret, although fashion writer Jim Shi divulged the event’s location and date on Twitter April 12.
“Chanel confirms KarlLagerfeld to stage upcoming cruise collection show in the garden of the Chateau de Versailles on the night of May 14!” tweeted Shi. Although a little closer to home this time around, the creator’s regal choice of setting conjures up images of the chateau’s most famous resident Marie-Antoinette with her grandiose wigs and corseted gowns.
Along with the likes of Dior and Gucci, the Chanel Resort collection is one of the fashion world’s most anticipated, with last year’s show at the Hotel du Cap in Antibes on the French Riviera welcoming stars such as Vanessa Paradis, Blake Lively, and Rachel Bilson to see Lagerfeld’s nautical-influenced creations.
Karl is on Markus Lanz's talk show again tonight (ZDF, 23.15). A 7 minute preview is already up on the website and it's hilarious, of course. His last interview with Lanz is my fave Karl interview so this will probably be great, too. (Sorry to anyone who doesn't speak German ) http://www.zdf.de/ZDFmediathek/beitr...aus-mir-selber
