Beauty Moment: Backstage with Vanessa Traina at Altuzarra
The past few days have been especially hectic for Vanessa Traina, the stylist, model, and longtime collaborator of designer Joseph Altuzarra. She’s been working nonstop with her friend on his latest collection—so, naturally, Vogue.com was able to find her backstage in the hours before his fall show at Chelsea's Skylight Studios. There, Traina dished on the beauty essentials she can’t live without during New York Fashion Week.
What’s your Fashion Week staple?
“Well, normally it would be sleep, but since it’s Fashion Week, maybe not. I’ll go with water.”
Do you have any skin-care staples?
“A good moisturizer—[Rodin’s] Olio Lusso, of course.”
How do you prepare, health-wise?
“Juice Press! I always get the Ginger Fireball; I swear it keeps me from getting sick.”
If you could fit only one makeup item in your bag, what would it be?
“Definitely lip balm. I carry either [Boiron’s] Homéoplasmine or Aquaphor.”
Can you share any hints about your favorite look from Altuzarra’s fall collection?
“You’ll see! It’s a strong silhouette, very sexy and feminine.”

She looks so beautiful on the picture , thanks kimair . Love her coat and Box bag.
I'm so glad she seems to be completely over her "dark" phase. She looks fresh and amazing again and her outfits are just one hit after another.
Perfect in the Altuzarra dress: sexy, modern and chic. I love how she uses her Céline bag (which is the chicest thing in that color) as an evening bag. And as for her amfar outfit, its even better in bigger pics the details are fantastic. It looks like Givenchy to me but I can't find which collection. Maybe custom made.

She's killing me .
I can't find one single bad thing in any of these last outfits. The black coat in #680 is so cool. I love how she wears the Balenciaga top @ Cynthia Rowley, it's laid-back and also super chic. But I have to say that nothing tops her outfit on the streetstyle pics with Caroline : simply amazing . Her fur sweater and the bi-color bag are gorgeous. Of course she's also always so beautiful.
