New Rule: Hosting images on ImageVenue, ImageBam or ImageHaven ... Not Allowed!
New Rule: Hosting images on ImageVenue, ImageBam or ImageHaven ... Not Allowed!
Effective immediately, we ask that members no longer host images at any site that allows porn or that has porn ads. Please find a completly porn free site to host your images. We ask for your cooperation in helping us rid tFS of links to porn ... by hosting your images on a porn free site or by attaching them (see the paper clip icon, in "Go Advanced"). And you can help us by nicely directing other members to this Announcement if you see that someone is still hosting images on sites that allow porn and porn ads. We will not be removing any old images posted on sites that allowed porn ... but we will be contacting you if you continue to use those sites. We have compiled a list of some approved sites for Hosting Your Images: ImageShack.com, (but absolutely no nudes... not even implied or partial. Hosting nudes here will impact tFS and thousands if images, because they will ban us.) Fashionpix.org (you may host nudes here) Imagehosting.gr Photobucket.com (no nudity, copyrights sometimes enforced) Tinypic.com Imagetitan.com Postimage.org Imageep.com Radikal.ru (it's in Russian). Postimage.com Imagechicken.com Imageupper.com There are some other hosting sites out there that seem to be fine, so this is not a complete list. If you chose another place to host your images, you will be responsible to check your own images after they are posted, to make sure that they have not accidentally hosted on a site that will lead to porn ads. Failure to do so, may result in the post being deleted. Here are the new rules: 1. Do not host any images (nude or otherwise) on any site that features porn or advertises porn when you click on the images, such as ImageBam, ImageVenue, or ImageHaven. This includes the "family safe" areas of thse sites because they sometimes still lead to porn ads. 2. You may host images on any of the above hosting sites, or any other site that does not lead to porn ads when the images are clicked. 3. You are responsible to check you images after they are posted to make sure that clicking on them does not lead to porn or a porn ad. 4. Check your hosting site's rules, if you wish to host images with nudity, partial nudity or implied nudity. Most sites that do not have porn ads, also don't allow you to upload nudity. 5. If your hosting site does not allow nudity and you wish to post a nude image, you have 2 options: A..... you may use the attachment feature here at tFS (the paper clip icon, in the Advanced Reply). Every member has a limited amount of space. If you run out, you may purchase a Premium Account upgrade and you will receive 10 times as much space to host images here, in addition to other enhancements. B..... or, you may host them at http://fashionpix.org/. It's free. They will allow tasteful nudity, but will not allow porn in hosted images or in ads. You may use this as your primary image hosting site for all images, if you wish. Last edited by BetteT : 2 Weeks Ago at 02:01 PM. |
