It has come to our attention that pictures hosted on imagehost.org are probably infected with a virus or a trojan.
In fact, imagehost.org knows about this for a few weeks now, but has not done anything to stop it. See the announcement at the bottom of thier home page. http://imagehost.org/ Although they say it's not them ... it is still impacting images hosted on their site.
Many of our Anti Virus programs are being triggered when we attempt to click on the images to see them full size. Some programs are just blocking the member from accessing the images at all. But we are very concerned for those members who have not taken appropriate steps to protect their computers.
What you need to do:
1. If you are using imagehost.org as your image hosting site, please consider switching to another image hosting service. (do not use ImageVenue, ImageBam, or ImageHaven ... they are not allowed on tFS).
2. Make sure you have an updated version of a good anti-virus program.
3. If you do not have good anti-virus protection, check the properties of any image to see to where it is hosted. Do not click on any images hosted on imagehost.org until further notice.
Today, I checked a few images and found that my anti virus program was no longer picking up a trojan on ImageHost and the notice about it "not being from them" that they had on their main page was also gone.
The problem may be over ... but still be careful and make sure you have good virus protection.
