The answer is in this thread, here:

  • Change the user name.
  • Remove signature content
  • Remove any info from the profile that might be identifying or replace it with fictitious info
  • Remove all subscriptions
  • Remove avatar
  • Remove e-mail address or alter as well as personal web site info
  • Change account options to refuse PM's and E-maila from users and admins
  • Change date of birth
  • After doing all this - ban this user
Where you make use of the communication features to share information with other individuals, however, (e.g., sending a personal message to another tFS user) you generally cannot remove such communications. Also, if someone quoted your post, the original user name will be shown having been quoted (which we cannot purge out).

If you would like to disable your account, please use the contact us form at the bottom of the page and we would be happy to take care of this for you.
In addition, you need to know that if you have your account deleted/disabled, you will sever your ties completely with the Fashion Spot and may not open a replacement account.

Your post has been moved to the correct thread. To answer your question, no, your posts would not be deleted if you choose to leave the community. They will appear under the new user name given to your account once it has been disabled. Please see the first post in this thread for details about the process.

They have no "tickets", open or closed, at the Contact Us Help Desk with your email address (the one on your user account). This is how they identify you, when you make such a request.

Please try again ... apparently your message did not go through or perhaps you used a different email.

Mchunu

I have checked and it now seems that the Help Desk system is not receiving any tickets at this time ... some sort of technical glich. Tech Support is looking into it with the company that operates the system. Hopefully, they will get it resolved soon.

Please hold off until they can get this fixed. Check back here in a few days if you have not heard back ... and I'll follow up to see what is happening with the system.

Sorry that I can't be more help than that right now.

Ok No worries.

But I was curious about the fact that I am going to receive an email. I am actually unable to get into the email I signed up to tFS with...about 8 years ago.....

Then change it to your current email .... in your User CP. You need it to match (the help desk ticket and your account) to direct them to delete your account.

BTW ... the Help Desk is still down ... they are looking into it.

I have a feeling that it might not be back up until next week ... they don't work on the weekends and we are just one of about 40 sites they own.
