It's a very confusing system ... almost impossible to explain. But, yes ... basically you give karma from your points. The more you have the more you give. It's not your choice how many you give ... the system does it for you. You cannot give karma to the same person repeatedly ... the system will stop you at a certain point and tell you to give someone else karma. I guess that it's to prevent members from only giving karma to friends or just to try to build up their points ... to be fair.
You get your points from whoever gives you karma. The more they have the more you will get. You will max out at 2147483647 points ... then your points will no longer change.
Remember ... they mean nothing .... they don't give you any privileges and only you can see them. So, you should pretty much ignore your karma points. What is important is the messages that come in when you get karma .... it's intended to spread good will among members. The system will only store the last 25 messages ... so when you get new karma after that, the old messages will drop off.
Oh gee just saw my karma points for the first time. I always wondered if I had any, because never received anything about getting points, but turns out I have a lot. and makes me so happy to read all the nice comments.
loll I am so confused about this Karma thing....I saw three people had givin me karma with a comment like "thanks for the pics" ect. So can I respond to that Karma?? the more karma I get, do I get more special privligies on the forum or something?
I'm in love with somebody, and that somebody is Couture.
