I have turned on the karma system for a trial run. Here is how it works...
You should give karma based on the quality of a post, thread, idea, etc. Each day you are allowed to give/take karma to 10 members (in a 24 hour period). The amount of karma you can give (or take) is based on your karma standing. Karma is earned by:
1 point of karma-altering power per year of membership
1 point of karma-altering power per 2,000 posts
1 point of karma-altering power for every 100 karma points you earn
Administrators have 10 points of karma-altering power
I am looking into a solution to account for lost posts in the conversion. Once I can figure out that issue, then post count will be weighted more heavily.
This karma system will be run in trial mode for the next 3-6 months to see if
it is a feature that we want to keep in place permanently.
What about lost accounts? I'd been here about a year as Kiimihaana before it was wiped in the switch....
We can merge accounts. If you needc to merge your account, please open a support ticket and include the account you want to keep and the accounts you want to merge into that account. We will need proof of ownership of your old accounts, so please include email addresses associated with accounts...
Remember to turn off your SPAM blocker for emails from theFashionSpot.com, so we can communicate via the help desk...
So if we add to someones Karma, how long does it take to come into place?
It is added right away. I am not sure how you can see how much they have earned. I think you hover over the little green thing. I will look into all the details soon. For now, please reward good posts, threads, ideas, etc. If someone post SPAM, you know what to do!
If we use the system right then once all the kinks are worked out as far as look & feel the results will be correct...

Done and done! I checked hotmail high and low for a password reset email and never found one, no matter how many times I tried. Thanks for your quick response, I'm sure we'll be in touch soon.
