Email Notifications for Subscriptions ... How To Turn them On and Off

I went in Edit Options and set not to take e-mail notifications,but I still get them.I'm so sorry for bothering you so much

Hmm.. I had a look at your setting Lamia and currently you're automatic thread subscription is : Subscribe with no notification .. are you still getting them?

If you are .. go to this page : http://www.thefashionspot.com/forums...n&folderid=all it will tell you the current Notification mode of each of the threads you subscribe to.

If any of the threads are still set to some sort of email notification you can click the box (right hand side) and scroll down to the bottom of the page.. there you can edit your notification mode to no emails!

Your basic setting looks correct to me (instant email nofication) , but you might want to check the individual settings in this link to make sure they are all set correctly: http://forums.thefashionspot.com/sub...n&folderid=all

Also, you should make sure that your email provider is not blocking the emails .... perhaps add "@thefashionspot.com" to you safe sender list.

If you do both of these, and you are still not getting your emails, let us know and we sill report it. It might be that we are having a systems problem .... but so far, no one else is reporting it.

No one else is reporting this problem ... so the problem must be at your end ...

If it is ongoing problem ... not intermitant, then there is a possibility that you changed email addressses ... and some email servers block our automated emails. Or your current server changed their blocked senders list.


Have you tried putting us on your safe sender list yet, as I advised above? If you have not done that, you must go to your email provider and add @thefashionspot.com to your allowed senders list ... so that your email from tFS will be allowed to be delivered.

Thank god for this thread. My mail box is full of TFS emails. More then 4000 emails! I hope it will stop.

I don't think it matters if you put @thefashionspot.com in the box of safe sender, because first of all it didn't work to me some time ago & secone of all, all the emails that arrive to your box aren't them all allowed unless you you put the adress in the in box of block sender? well I think the email systems might have some way to track the "bad" emails that got viruses etc & block them hence the existance of the "safe sender" box but honestly I don't think it happens to the case of the @thefashionspot.com

fiqary, best way to block the emails from tFS to enter into your box is to put the @thefashionspot.com in the block sender's box since the system here to unable to receive notifications doesn't work.

Another thing is that I don't understand why people care about receiving notifications since when you come here you get to see what are your subscribed threads that got replies & your prof. comment, PM's etc, just my opinion anyway.

Well not all of us have the ability to be on here constantly. Plus if I'm using my phone it's easier for me to access the threads I prefer through notifications, but thanks for the info.
