Excessively Large File Size Images
Something needs to be done. It's causing problems with bandwidth consumption. Many ISPs around the world have placed (or will be placing) bandwidth usage caps (limits) on their members where members are restricted in download speed or charged extra after a certain amount of bandwidth per month. Limitations vary as do consequences. I've even heard of some ISPs cutting people off completely for excessive bandwidth usage.
Note page 386 of the Hillary Rhoda thread: http://www.thefashionspot.com/forums...ml#post4700923 23 images, each one well over 500Kb each for a total of around 12Mb. Sorry, but there is just no excuse for that. The images are also hot linked which could cause the host to block tFS for excessive bandwidth theft. I understand some people like higher quality images, so place a thumbnail or some other link to the full image. There really is no reason for any image over 100Kb to be placed inline in any post. It's costing Flickr (or whatever other site is hosting the images). It's costing tFS. And it's costing some members personally.
