the nordstroms link is dead, unfortunately. i'm going to try to proxy firstview, i'll let you guys know if i come up with anything

firstview are such capitalists now! it was one thing to make you buy a pass for new collections on the old site but now you can't even access archival....must think we're morons indefinitely now.

no thanks. I'll stick with Chris Moore's images. You have to have a password but at least you don't have to pay to look at most collections that are widely available through other mediums for FREE. Great or not,the quality of shots,it's still ridiculous.

So firstview got a new skin(or whatever they call) lately, and you need to pay to see the collections from 1997(or 98) to 2005 which used to be free.

I almost cried when nordstrom.firstview disappeared. Just a week ago I thought I should perhaps save a few of my favourite older collections just in case they disappear, but I never actually got around doing it, and now they're gone. I can't even access firstview anymore, all I get is "Sorry access deny" or, if I'm "lucky", the first page and then nothing.

I would be willing to pay to see the collections (if the prices are reasonable), but I can't even access the site..

Boo.

i can see firstview ... i use Firefox as my browser. maybe if you use Explorer it doesn't work?

the prices are seriously

, reasonable for an hour or two [$5.95-$9.95 respectively]...$19.95 for 24 hours. 1/2 year subscription is $550.00 and one year subscription is $999.00. i'd pay for an hour, though i wouldnt make it very far with the copypaste/save thing

I have the feeling they ban a whole lot of IPs or something, because I used to get the "sorry access denied" msg too, but when I used a proxy IP it worked fine.

try enter the firstview url to http://www.proxify.com/ or http://www.hidemyass.com/ and check if it works then for you. (although you won't be able to buy any subscriptions etc while using that proxy)

Okay it works with a proxy, thanks *Bianca*! I'll just change my ip and perhaps it'll work normally after that. I don't get why they would have banned my ip though

Those prices are not very friendly for my student budget.. 1/2 year subscription is more than my rent

the site works fine for me, in the same way it used to. everything free except for the most current season. pic size is the same too
