I have no issues with the new font size. Matter of personal taste perhaps?

Thanks again for your quick response, tangerine.

Perhaps it is due to a matter of taste, but this one particular issue is bugging the life outta' me. I'm having to scale down the entire forum on Safari.. just to make the font readable and compact. A larger font cheapens the overall look. It's just the font size on the actual posts of tFS members, not elsewhere, really.

I am curious to know what sort of device/what size screen you are using? I agree that the font could be made a point size smaller without sacrificing readability, but I don't find it unreasonably large, on Safari or Firefox. Just trying to understand the issue better.

I'm using a HP laptop, with a screen size of 17" (1366x768) and running tFS on Safari.

Yes, I totally agree, just one point size down could make a massive difference.

I've been checking in for a while now with this new interface and I have to say, for what it's worth, that it's a devolution rather than an evolution. It feels cheaper than the old interface.

A loss of class...

Sorry to be harsh, but this interface really is like fingernails dragged down a blackboard...

I did a quick look around and haven't found the answer. Is there a way to set the layout permanently on Retro for ones' account? Every time I sign it, it goes back to the default and it's kind of a pain to have to change it each time. Thanks.

Yeah .... but I forget where, exactly. Thinking in your profile somewhere. The information is posted earlier in this thread.

Have you tried:

1. Click Quick Links & click Edit Options
2. Go down to Miscellaneous Options
3. Go to Forum Skin and select tFS Retro
4. Go to the bottom of the page and click Save Changes

Lemme know if that solves it. Works for me.

I think it worked. Thank you very much!

Old Smilies Are Back!
The old smilies have returned, some of the codes/shortcuts are different than they were before.

Refer to the smiley list to learn the new codes.

Thanks to Psylocke for supplying the gifs!

Wall messages all gone
Have all of them been erased? I do appreciate that the profiles have been revamped, however, I'm a bit concerned since it's years of correspondence and memories that I had kept on my profile.

Is there any chance of finding the old posts? And was there an announcement about this?

kissmesweet, unfortunately with the new upgrade we did have to lose profile commnents. BetteT explained in the first post of this thread.

A slight hiccup

In upgrading the platform, we did lose something: old buddy lists and profile comments. These features will exist in the upgrade, but old buddy lists and comments will not. We understand this isn't ideal, but it's so that we could have a smoother running, more secure forums experience for you.
I do not think there is any way to recover old comments. I know some members saved theirs through screencaps.

heelscatchfire is correct, there is no way to retrieve the old profile comments.

The announcement about this can be found here:
