Is there any way to get the completely old layout back? because this is hideous... The new font doesn't look good and everything is far too spaced out and even with the 'retro' colour scheme it is far to bright...

Hope you will like it, Softie ..... seems to be closer to what you said you'd like to see.
it's definitely more modern- yes...
thank goodness they left the smilies alone...
imho, it's one of the major things that differentiates tFS...

it's cute how they tried to keep the signature purple in some places...
not sure it's used as well as it could be, but i do appreciate the effort...

:p

Its usually when you want to quote several posts, so you click it when you want to quote several posts and it will all be in one huge post as opposed to replying to each one of them individually.

and the space at the end of even very short posts creates far too much white space which is awkward...

that is clearly something that has been preset---
it creates a lot of distance between posts and interferes with the intimacy of the discussion...

i wonder if that could be improved at all...?

it's also really annoying that it automatically put usernames in all caps, no?...

all caps is like shouting online...

i feel like the system is shouting at me...
it's a bit aggro...
...

really liking the black edit/reply buttons though...
those look really elegant...

The white is kind of fluorescent blinding. It wouldn't be as bad if the posts didn't blend in together and seem endless. While the new design is sleeker in some aspects, the gray was more relaxing.

I really love that you get notifications now! Very useful.

Pros:
• Sleek
• Reply/Edit/Quote & Social Network buttons (very cute)
• Fonts
• Cleaner & Chicer (the old theme was a bit too conservative for my taste)

Cons:
• A little too bright
• Way too much white (I prefer the retro color scheme)
• Signature distinction (no line separating it like before)
• The new smileys - there are two different kinds now? It just feels... disorganized.

All in all a great job! Not too many gripes for me.

^The signature distinction is working now! I thought there was something missing and I think that was it. I know change can be hard, but I'm liking the new sleek look. But I do agree with crimson about it looking like one long conversation. Softgrey's multi-quoting got my head spinning.

I'd hate to be pedantic, though, but I miss the old smile. This one is same smile they have in the DigitalSpy forums.

That's my complain so far as well. It would be great if you guys could make the background a little bit darker and make a better division between the posts and quotes. But other than that i'm loving everything. It's definitely more sleek and modern. Good job to all the staff for the hard work!

PS: The font colours are not working for me, I assume the system is still being updated?

Oh! Giving karma to LolaSvelt just brought another problem to my attention:

When you click 'Give karma' in the default theme the box that opens is transparent, making it look like the text is floating around. This doesn't happen while in retro.
