Here's a possiblity: they think that you probably have surpassed the limit of number of subscriptions that the system will handle. (Unfortunately, no one knows the actual limit ... so it's just an educated guess.) Some subscriptions might be dropping off as you add new ones. Kind of like the way the old karma messages drop off when it hits 25 and new messages come in. They suggest that you prune your subscriptions down to a smaller number ... keeping only the most important.
Just a thought: Are you actually clicking subscribe to thread under the thread tools?
Posting in a thread automatically puts it in your User CP, but it may not be the same as actually subscribing yourself, which keeps your subscrption even if the thread splits automatically.

yup, i've been doing the "subscribe to thread" all this time. that's how i manage the notification mail and limit it to only important ones. traina thread is actually interesting cus it's been the same thread for ages now (it's slow) and i posted like a month ago there and until i re-subscribed yesterday it disappeared. maybe i should delete some of the old threads? could be you can have more threads subscribed cus you're a mod?
LOL, sorry. again, it's so silly, but it's tiring kinda to re-subscribe all the time now. i will try to put it in folders and if it happens again, i'm gonna report it here.
I'm currently subscribed to 408 threads. I'm sure there were over 1,000 on my list at one time, but I rarely post anymore so many of them have probably dropped off as old, dormant threads.
I do not manually subscribe to any threads. They are all auto-subscriptions when I post to a thread. Many of the subscriptions carry over when threads carry over to restarted threads; I can't say for sure if they all do. I seem to remember a post from Buffaloed discussing that aspect.
I am having a problem loading threads on google chrome... Every time I open a thread it loads and then it crashes. This is only happening on tFS threads tho, not anywhere else. Right now Im using Safari and everything is working fine. Anybody know how I can fix this?
I once heard this woman say "I need HAAAAAILLLLP!" and I am thinking of her now
So I upgraded to IE9 and can't post any longer. All the posting boxes are grayed out. I can type in them, but to no avail. Is there any way to make it work? I've looked thru several pages of this thread and can't find the answer.
Also--what version of Firefox is supported? They want me to upgrade, but that's what screwed me up last time.
I really don't want to be using Firefox at all ...
TIA ...
