I have no idea what they have in store, if anything. It's not our site. But they have access to this forum, so they know where to find feedback, if they are interested. I would think you could contact them directly via their site, too.

I can't see pictures posted with imgur, if I paste the link on my search bar it apperars something about child pornography.

Anyone else having this problem?

Pradable ... can you post a link to the post where this is happening, please? I will check it out for you.

Many members host their images in the "adult content" section of their image hosting sites ... and they should not be doing that because this is what sometimes happens ...we get objectionable content when we click on the links. We just delete those posts ... and let the member know to not use that section anymore.

^where should we host nude images then? if you host nudity using the "safe" option of the host you risk getting your images deleted.

Attach them here ... save our attachement feature for this purpose only and you should have plenty of free room.

The rules and instructions were laid out here three years ago, in this Announcement: Hosting Images on Sites that feature Porn Ads ... Not Allowed!

Apparently it's something about a legal law against child pornography in my country.

Thanks. It's hard to determine what the original picture was, based on this information. It's entirely possible that it was just a very young looking model in a normal fashion shot, but it streched beyond your country's legal limits. It refers to minors and the exploitation of them. Many models are only 14 years old (once in a while, even younger) ... so that might be the issue... that the model was under the age of consent in your country, and even normal fashion shots might be construed as "exploitation" by local laws.

It seems that they are blocking the photo ... not the hosting site, as far as I can tell. And, in fact, that photo was not necessarily actual porn (showing a sex act) ior even full nudity ... so I would not worry about it ... unless see something disturbing in a photo.

I can't see anything posted via imgur. I guess is due to the content in the hosting site (in general) and not a special case.

Thank you anyway BetteT!

I posted several images on ImageBam this fashionweek as I was unaware of the rules about the "family safe" option still being against the rules. So, so sorry about that!

My question is whether I should go and repost my images, or should I wait for them to be deleted by the mods and THEN repost them? I really don't want to get banned, I promise it won't happen again! I realize this is a very old rule now, so I'm a bit embarrassed.

Please "Report" them ... so we can find them. You certainly may repost them, after we have removed them. If you self report ... we don't consider it a mark against you ... since you are just trying to correct the problem. Thanks for asking.

Image Bam is one of 3 sites that we don't allow at all ... not even the "family safe" area ... because of problems they create years after the photos are posted. (Image Haven and Image Venue are the other 2). So, please find another site to host your pics first, being sure not to use the "adult" section of any site .... then post away!

Here's the rules about which hosting sites are forbidden and a few suggestions of sites the we think are relatively safe ... it's in the Announcements Forum: http://forums.thefashionspot.com/f43...wed-95215.html

^^The same thing happened to me. I didn't realize until today that Imagebam is against the community rules (I actually read that rule in the past but somehow forgot that it would apply to Imagebam too). I feel so sorry. I've just reported the post in which I linked to Imagebam. Sorry. I will be more careful next time!

TinyPic, Imgur, PostImage, TurboImageHost and ImageTitan work fine.

Yes, you are right.... those are all allowed. Only the three sites named in the title of this thread are outright banned from being used on tFS.

Almost every other photo hosting site should be OK, as long as you are sure that you do not upload your pictures to their "adult" section or tag them as "adult".
