My Post Count ... It Dropped / It Didn't Go Up ... Why?

Not that this is SUPER important, but i was just wondering why my post number fell about 5 or 600 posts.
lostinemotion was having the same problem, and said that her number was lowered by half
I also saw some posts by someone on the nicole richie forum, but next to their post, it said that they had posted 0 times.
Just curious...anyone else notice this?

Yes! Mine just dropped from above 800 to 688!

Mine has dropped too, Andy R is aware of these problems and they are been addressed

i don't know about the zero post thing...
that doesn't seem possible...

but people may have lost posts due to the forums getting a clean up and some older inactive or duplicate threads being deleted in order to make things easier to search for and navigate on the forums...

ie- old birthday threads from last year and before may have been deleted...
posts without picture credits may have been deleted...
and probably some things from the spot which recently got a clean up...
etc...

it wasn't any HUGE ammount...
and it is necessary from time to time in order to keep things in order on a forum this size with the number of members and activity we have...
it gets really difficult to sort through all the old threads to find anything if we don't do this...

just the mod squad doing their best to make the forums run smoothly and easy to use...

there's apparently something wrong with the display. i just had a look at your profile and looked for all posts and they were all there...
only the displayed number is three...
please don't worry, i'm sure this is all connected to the server trouble and will change again

i had almost 1000 posts but it went down to 800 somthing..what happened?

Did you post in the old Kate Moss thread ? If you did, that might explain why your post count has gone down. The thread is still being cleaned

Also model game threads that have been over for more than 2 weeks are being deleted which might also explain a lowered postcount.

The Nicole Richie thread was accidentally deleted during removal of some weight-related posts

..any of these threads ring a bell ?
if not I'm not sure what the reason might be.. and I'll ask Andy to look future into it

The Kate Moss thread is very large, so every day we clean more and more pages, that probaly explains why it has been going down in an odd pace...

I believe the old game threads were deleted recently as well
