It was me! And yes, because you ran around several threads posting links I chose to remove them.

There really isn't a great choice for removal in situations like these, but I thought you'd figure out what I meant. Apologies, like you, I was busy and didn't take the time to send a PM.

If everyone runs around the board posting links instead of pictures this board would be a mess.

You're a good member, didn't mean to confuse or upset you, but hope you understand where I was coming from

your posts were removed as your images were the wrong size. you should have received an automatic message explaining why your posts were removed.

Our system shrinks them visually, but the bandwidth draw is still huge and it slows things down for everyone else who is trying to view that page, making the wait excruciatingly long ... so we ask members not to post anything larger than about 800 pixels wide ... at least not wider than 1200. It's in the Community Rules, I think.

There is a thread here in Member Support ... about how to post thumbnails. I suggest you read it, to see how other members do it. It's a bit different for some sites, depending on the image hosting site that you are using. If you can't figure it out, just ask there and probably other members can walk you through it.

Do moderators actually read the post they delete?
I received a message that one of my replies / posts got deleted alledgedly due to weight talk. I commented below a picture that showed several people (among them Frida & Barbara) in the Barabara Palvin thread. I commented that Barbara looked tiny next to Frida. One look at the picture should have given anyone a clue that I was talking about HEIGHT because 170-something Barbara looked really tiny when standing next to giant 180-something Frida in said picture. How is that weight talk? My comment did not refer to weight at all and if the moderator in question had actually read it and looked at the picture right above the comment they would have realized that! Do the moderators actually read the comments or just delete all comments that contain certain words (in this case "tiny"). This is quite infuriating! Aren't we even allowed to talk about a model's height anymore?!

Your post was:

Quote:
She sure looks tiny next to Frida!
If you meant height you should have specified it by saying she looked shorter/not as tall/etc.

I realize that English is not your first language, and believe that your intention was not to discuss weight, but the moderator who removed it obviously misinterpreted what you were trying to say because you did not elaborate further.

So not entirely your fault, and not entirely the moderator's fault either.

Things like this happen.

Hope you understand

Just noticed the entire conversation regarding Kirstin Krag's Liljegren's racist behavior was removed from Model Behavior.

Why???

By doing so something is being covered up that needed to be exposed.

Imo that entire discussion could be clearly divided into two 'segments', if I can call it that. The start of the conversation with members calling Kristin out, and the the second part debating the use of the 'n' word in general. The second part could by all means be deleted because it's probably considered 'off topic', but I personally feel the first part should've remained purely because most of the posts referred to her social media pictures.

The topic was important, but it was causing the team some problems.

Here's what happened:

We received several complaints about the discussion being "offensive" to some members and to some visitors, if it's the one I am thinking about. The discussion was somewhat political in nature (borderline), and it was evidently offensive to some people (not just the comment the model made, but the discussion itself was offensive, based on what we were being told by the complainants). So, I thanked members for keeping it respectful towards each other but I asked them to move on to another topic, but more members jumped back in. Then we got more complaints so, at that point, it was decided to just get rid of the whole discussion.

I personally did not find the comments, that our members made, offensive ... but then there are always many different way that people think and interpret things that are written and spoken ... so if someone says it's offensive to them, we have to take that seriously.

Thanks Bette for your explanation, but I think Benn nailed it entirely:

Hi, I checked. Your post said it was the "Harper's Bazaar Netherland July/August 2015: Querelle Janssen by Mickael Schulz" cover but instead it shows a picture of the September issue with Katy Perry. Did you hotlinked the picture? If you did they must have change it for the new cover. And you didn't get a warning, just the automatic message.

Can someone please explain this rule to me? A post of mine was deleted because I apparently responded to a deleted or edited post? First, how can one "respond" to a deleted post? If the post does not exist...Second, I did not respond to an edited post, so why was mine deleted? This is the link: http://forums.thefashionspot.com/sho...php?p=13247045

Aoedele, it appears a user posted images but they failed to provide a source for them. Which resulted in a mod deleting that post entirely. Since you responded to post #56 that was deleted because of the credit rule, it resulted in your post being deleted as well. Your post was only deleted in relation to that post, it had nothing to do with your remark or state only to due to post above that was deleted.

I hope that makes sense
