- Site names need to be spelled out (clickable url/links in lieu of a site name are not acceptable).
Management has noticed the growing use of abbreviations when crediting images posted on tFS. Credits are posted as a courtesy to the site where they were taken.
However many members do not know what the abbreviations stand for. Only those "in the know" will understand the reference. Simply posting an abbreviation as credit thus negates the purpose of posting credits.
- Account names to images from flickr, deviantart, myspace , etc. have to be added.
Flickr/deviantart/myspace etc users deserve credit maybe even more than established and well-known sites. Please keep this in mind when saving/uploading images from these sites.
Posts that fail to live up to these new rules will be deleted.
This rule has been in place since January, by now all members who aren't new should be familiar with this.
Images that do not live up to these new rules will be delete.
Do you mean to spell out site names e.g firstview (and not use abbreviations such as fv) or do you mean we must spell out site URLs e.g firstview.com.
Either is OK under this rule ... with or without the ".com" ... as long as the name is spelled out without abreviating it. We don't want links ... but we do want our members to be able to "google" the name, if they are interested in finding the site ... so that is why we want it spelled out in full.
However, it's probably easier for our members to find it if you do add the .com ... so it's just a nice touch to add it.
I would have no idea what either FV or Firstview referred to. firstview.com would tell me more and would more likely comply with the Terms of Use of that site.
Is there any way to allow to embedded automatically videos from other sites than just youtube and myspace ? because youtube is a complete hell because the audio copyrights & myspace really dislike it. So allowing sites like dailymotion.com, rutube.ru & vimeo would be good.

We now have new video options, see the announcement.
Thank you Filipe, your suggestion has been adopted!
Another question, why only premium members can edit their profile comments & members without premium ship can't, shouldn't that be an option for everybody ?
I didn't know that was a feature ... I thought everyone was the same ... either everyone could or everybody could not. How do you know this? I can't check it out because I am a moderator and I can edit a lot of stuff ... so I can't verify it from my account.
