If I want to "Search" something, the ad goes right over the Search bar so you can't type anything.
If I want to go to a certain page of a thread, the ad goes right over the page numbers so I can't skip to a certain page.
URghhH!!
There is a search link and a page number navigator at the bottom of the page as well as the top; this might be a workaround for you.
The ads are annoying but they pay for the site's operation and maintenance. The good thing is that they are all temporary and will change.
^ If you go to the exact sub-forum [if you know it], the search bar might work.
Anyone else getting bombarded by Clinique ads that are alternating between covering the the top 1/2 and then the bottom 1/2 of your screen, ridiculous.
the Clinique ads are beyond obnoxious... the roll over one PLUS the one that pops up every ten seconds ... and the roll over one is sometimes placed weird so I can't even close the stupid thing... PLEASE get rid of one or the other!

In order for tech support to diagnose the problem, please do a screen capture of the ad in question and post it along with a detailed explanation of what is happening and where you are located (different cities get different ads).

Every time I want to subscribe to a thread, the ad also makes sure to 'roll over' the "Thread Tools" area so that I cannot do so. Also you have to be very patient and very slowly click on "Close" in such a deliberate way, or else the ad will not actually close. Sometimes, if you click "Close" in a not deliberate enough way, the ad will open larger instead.
95% of the time, the ads on this site do not interfere with the functionality of the site for me, so I do know that it is possible for you guys to use ads that do not do this. This is just my opinion -- as this thread is called "Report Tech Issues with Popups and Advertisements" I thought this would be a relevant post.
The ad currently doing this is the H&M "The Pants Collection" ones.

I'm sorry I'm not sure I understand this suggestion. I only ever search in the sub-forums. I never search in the forum at large. So I think this issue must happen in the sub-forums as well.

For ads that you cannot close at all and interfere with you getting access to the forums ... we will ask tech support to check on to see if there's a glich.
But we can't ask them to change ads that advertisers paid for that seem to be hard to get rid of ... it's kind of what they paid for. So ... most likely this is not a technical glich, if it's just "difficult" to close.
If you think it is a technical glich, please follow the thread instrutions and we'll ask them.

Oh, okay.
That's weird though, I've never gotten ads down that low.
These Anne Klein ads are taking over the top of my screen and they won't close. Very obnoxious...
This issue has been reported to admin. Please note that in order for admin to take action, you must provide the information requested in Post #1 of this thread.
Ok - here is a screenshot of the Dove ad that is preventing me from accessing the forums. It happens literally 90% of the time I try and access the site. the ad pops up and the rest of the page doesn't load. there is no way that I can find to close the ad or to skip over it.
driving. me. insane.

I'll report it to tech support and ask if they can do something about it. You are in Toronto, right? They need that information, since different cities get different ads .. so it's most likely an isolated problem.
