I'm having the same problem as happycanadian and I am in Toronto as well. Nothing has changed on my end.

Yeah, nothing has changed, actually. Must've been a fluke the last time I logged in.

This time, same thing happened with the Dove ad. Then I click "User CP" and the page refreshes and the same ad happens. On the 3rd refresh, a different ad came up - one that I hadn't seen before, but that did the exact same thing in terms of preventing me accessing the forums.

It took 7 (!!!) refreshes before it finally moved past the ads and let me see the forum.

Here's a pic of the other ad, an LCBO one.

Dang!! Sorry about that. They said they actually removed the Dove ads form the forum pages .... so not sure why this is happening with Dove.

Thanks, Marleen .... that helps to know that it's happening to other members.

yeah, i mean, it does appear that they've done something, but it hasn't resolved the issue because now it just goes from one ad to another. from Dove to Weight Watchers to LCBO to Old Spice. lol. but, yeah, same thing over and over and finally after several times refreshing the page finally loads.

Please have patience ... it's been reported late on Friday afternoon that their original fix did not work.

They don't work over the weekend ... it's still Sunday afternoon here. So they should hopefully get back to trying to figure out what is happening tomorrow ... and maybe have resolution in a few more days.

I'm also in Toronto and was having this problem. Luckily, I haven't run into it all day. Keeping my fingers crossed!

We have been advised that the Dove ad has been completely removed; please let us know if you continue to have issues with it.

If you are having the exact same problem with other ads, please try clearing your browser cache and cookies and restarting your computer.

I use Firefox ... there's this darn USAA ad that seems to be screwing up every thread I look at. It's the ad that appears between posts, and it appears to prevent me from seeing any but the first post on the last page of any thread. (It may be all pages, I'm not sure.)

Looks like it's still an issue as I can't read this thread ... due to the USAA ad.
